Milton Twp Skate Park
06: July Upcoming Events and News Updates!
Happy July folks! We've made so much progress since our last post! I'm excited to share and I hope you share this information with your fellow skate park enthusiasts!
Last push for donations! Let's make them count!
Sherri from Art & Connection in Elk Rapids has agreed to match all donations until July 24th, up to $1500 to get us to the $10k we need to keep this project going! That's right folks! For every $1 you donate, it equals $2! No donation is too small! Not comfortable donating online? You can donate in person at our next event or any one of our sponsors downtown Elk Rapids!

THE TOWNSHIP HAS APPROVED THE PLAN! Let's do this!

Thank you Douglas P. Marsh for the coverage from our latest board meeting on July 11th. The board unanimously approved the plans from Sk8Park Atlas! If you haven't checked out the plan from Nick and Sk8park Atlas, click here!
More Hands Make Less Work!
The plan?
Clean up the concrete, weed the cracks, work on removing the vines along the fence, get a good skate in, then paint the pad!
What items to bring?
Brooms, leaf blowers, weeding gloves, garbage bags, hedge trimmers, paint rollers, paint trays, long paint handles, clothes you don't care about getting paint on, sunscreen (not much shade) and your favorite wheels!
**Note, we cannot bring chainsaws**
We'll supply...
Paint (and some paint supplies), water, snacks, music, and positivity! Food being donated by Costco of Traverse City! Who wants pizza?!?!
Please register for the event so we can procure enough snacks for the masses!
News spotlight with UPNORTH LIVE!
We were featured on Upnorth Live this past Wednesday! Click the image above and check it out! We had a good time and thank you to Nicole Long for the coverage!
Make sure you follow our Instagram and Facebook accounts for fun videos and pictures of park progress and skate sessions! This is why we're working so hard to fix up this skatepark. Look at these awesome kids! So kind, respectful, and hilarious! They deserve a place to practice safely just like your friend who plays baseball. Or your sister who plays soccer. SO MANY SMILES! Please help us continue the efforts to Revitalize Milton Township Skate Park.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way! We're passing the halfway mark! Our goal is to have this finished by September and kick off the revitalized skate park with a best trick event! More details on that as we progress!
